28th June 2015

Six months- this was the time which she spent being 'friends' with Pankaj. But only she knew what Pankaj really meant to her. He was not just a friend to her. If that would be the case, then why she had to keep that a secret from Rahul? In these six months, both Pankaj and Vaishali started to know each other closely. Rahul got a research project at Sanjeevani hospital so he started to get busy in that. But in spite of that, he was trying very hard to take out some quality time for both of them...maybe he was trying too hard.
"It's been three weeks Vaishali...I want to meet you." Rahul said to Vaishali over the phone. he had been very busy from couple of weeks and finally he managed to buy some time for the two of them. He wanted to  make it special, he wanted to cover up all the terrible mistakes he had done in the past by making her feel special-something he haven't done for Vaishali for a long time now.
"But...you know...umm...i am having my...surgery today, so I can't make it." Vaishali was now finding it very hard to lie to him, she didn't want to lie either. There was no surgery that day. Pankaj had earlier asked her to meet his parents for lunch at his house and she had already given her commitment of coming at the lunch.
"Some other doctor will take care of it, you just come." Rahul once again tried to convince Vaishali but he knew it was difficult, but he was still trying.
"I can't come. Its very important." She replied
"But.."
"I will call you back once I am free. Bye love you." She said and disconnected the call. Pankaj was walking towards her, holding two cups of coffee. It had became a routine for them now- Vaishali would come to the hospital early carrying a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches with her and Pankaj would bring the coffee. They called it their 'Pseudo-dates'. But little did she knew that the 'Pseudo' was eliminated from their dates a long time ago, before they could even realize that.
"I want to confess something to you." Pankaj said suddenly. He was unusually quiet today. Normally he was the one who talks continuously but from some days his behavior had changed.
"What is it?" Vaishali asked. She already sensed that something big was about to happen in her life but was not sure whether it was going to be good or bad.
"You now why I insisted you to meet my Parents?" Pankaj said while looking her in the eye.
"Because you wanted me to meet them, i guess?" Vaishali tried to lighten the situation but it didn't help at all.
"What is it, Pankaj." Vaishali once again asked him after hearing nothing from him. he kept looking at her which was making her uncomfortable. He muttered all his courage and started to speak.
"Dr. Vaishali Gupta, I want to confess to you that I have fallen in love with you...I was in love with you when i first saw you, I was in love with you when we performed our first surgery together, I am in love with you now, and I think i will be for the rest of my life. You have given my life a new meaning Vaishali. I have been in relationships before, but nothing seems more invaluable than this...this 'Pseudo date' thing we are having. I swear I never loved anyone more than this in my life."
"But Pankaj I am in a relationship and I love Rahul." Vaishali tried hard to find the words to reply to him but she was failing miserably. Deep down her heart, she knew that this would come to her one day but she never anticipated it to be this soon. She wasn't ready for this now.
"I know you are, and I am not asking you to leave him either. I wanted to tell you how I feel, that's it...I don't want to ruin your relationship with him. He is a fantastic Surgeon and a lucky man to have you in her life." Pankaj clarified to her.
"I think you already ruined that Pankaj."
"I didn't mean to hurt you, I was just telling you the way how I feel about you Vaishali...and I am not asking you to feel the same way for me. Just ask yourself about it and you will find the difference between 'Loving someone' and 'Saving a relationship'."
"What do you mean?" Vaishali asked Pankaj in an angry tone. She was trying hard to defend herself but she knew that all her attempts were futile now. Pankaj knew her more than she knew herself. They were that much close by then.
"You know what I mean. Just take your time and think about it Vaishali. Is it really worth to save a sinking relationship?" He  replied. Rahul and Vaishali's relationship was started to get on his nerves now but he tried to hide it s much as possible. But there is a thing about patience-It has its limits.
"I think you need to go Dr. Pankaj Rana." She said to him without even looking at him.
"But Vaishali..." before he could say anything Vaishali interrupted him.
"I SAID LEAVE." Vaishali shouted in full rage. tears started flowing down her eyes. Pankaj kept looking at her for a moment and then silently walked away. He was not wrong...Rahul and Vaishali's relationship was nothing more than a brain dead patient which is being kept alive by machines. It is not that hard to love someone, is it? If she loves Rahul, then why she didn't call him for three weeks? and if she didn't love Pankaj, then why her call log was full of only his contact number? She had to find out, it was killing her from inside. She took out her phone and dialed a number on it.
"Hello." the other voice on the phone said.
"I am ready for lunch." Vaishali replied, after clearing a lump on her throat.
"But what about your surgery?" Rahul asked her.
"It's cancelled. I will meet you at 7." she said and disconnected the call.

Book Review- It started with a friend request by Sudeep Nagarkar

Title- it started with a friend request
Author- Sudeep Nagarkar
Publisher- Random House India
Rating- ***/***** (3 out of 5)

There are some things in life for which you have to develop a taste, you may not like it first, but ultimately you will develop a taste for those things. The books of Sudeep Nagarkar are one of those things. It was my first Sudeep Nagarkar's book and to be honest, i found it too plain initially but as you progress with the book, the characters open up and while reaching the final 20-25 pages of the book you become completely glued to the book.
The book is a love story revolving around 2 persons mainly- Akash and Aleesha. they both love each other and like every other love story they also face a twist when Aleesha realizes that Akash is the same person who is involved with her family friend Tammana who is like an elder sister to her. but as the book progresses, everything falls back in place once again and the book ends happily. Yay!!
Character of Aakash and Aleesha were made too sweet and childish while they talk to each other that it becomes irritating sometimes to read their conversation, Tammana is portrayed as a dark character in this book who can go to any limits for satisfying her lust for the one she loves. Aditya is a character which i think is from his previous books, so i wouldn't comment on him as I haven't read his earlier books.
in short, the book is a one time read and the cover is beautifully designed which makes you attract towards it. I will give it 3 stars out of 5.
Cheers!!

You all may have heard about a term in medical science- Organ transplant. In this procedure, an organ from another person is placed in one's body, replacing the faulty organ. The body first oppose that alien organ, fighting with its cells, thus creating a havoc in its own body and making it difficult for the body to accept it. But it is the tendency of the human body- to oppose any foreign invader which comes inside the body...no matter if it benefits you, the body will oppose that. Same thing was happening with Vaishali- she was opposing Pankaj who was entering in her life. After that surgery, Pankaj asked her for a cup of coffee again as a token for his apology. Vaishali couldn't reject his offer as she was already feeling bad about her rude behavior that day.
"I am sorry for what happened this morning." Pankaj said to her and apologized.
"It's OK, I am sorry too for my rudeness, I was kinda lost." Vaishali replied with a smile. She was pretty relaxed after Rahul called her and apologized about what he had done. He said that he knew she wants time and he was okay with that. Life was once again coming back to track for her.
They chatted for some more time and Vaishali found out that Pankaj was very similar to her- Both have the same taste in music, both share the same birth month, both love street food and most of all- they both were passionate about medicine. Though Rahul was also a doctor, and a pretty good one, he never looked the profession more than a job.
"It's just a job- the patient comes to us, we treat them, they pay us money. that's it." Rahul used to tell Vaishali this whenever she talks to him about a certain patient who got cured that day or about her successful operation on a patient which saved his or her life.
"I think I should go home, it was nice talking to you Dr. Pankaj." Vaishali said to him with a smile.
"Hey, we should do this some other time too." Pankaj asked her. He was starting to like this girl.
"I don't think its a good idea, I am committed." She said, smiled at her and left.
Vaishali was starting to get confused now- what was she doing? on one hand she was trying hard to save her relationship. She didn't talk to her male colleagues as Rahul did not like that and on the other hand she was trying hard to avoid Pankaj but they seem to cross their path every time. Pankaj even managed to convince Vaishali thinking for dinner at a beautiful restaurant. She was trying hard to oppose the entry of Dr. Pankaj in her life but it was fate- something which is not under your control.
"Tomorrow I am getting a chance to do an organ transplant surgery, I am so excited about it. But the risks involved are very high. What if the body doesn't accept the organ? What if the organ gets infected? what if..." as Vaishali was telling Rahul about her big surgery tomorrow she got interrupted by Rahul.
"hmmm good, can we talk about this later? I am feeling sleepy. Good night love you."
"But..." before she could say anything, the call was already disconnected.
"Good night, and I love you too." She said to a photograph of Rahul which was kept besides her pillow. She loved him, but she wanted someone who could talk to her, chat with her like crazy insomniacs all night long and someone who could live her passion. Rahul was definitely not that person. Disappointed, she was about to go to sleep when she heard a beep sound on her phone...It was a message from Pankaj.
Pankaj: hi
Vaishali: hi, how are you?
Pankaj: I am good, you tell me.
Vaishali: I am fine.
they chatted like this for what seems like an eternity. they talked about their upcoming surgeries, their families, their futures in medicine field and so on...the topics were endless. In between those chats Vaishali realized that she was trying too hard to fight herself for not letting anyone coming into her life. Maybe befriending Pankaj will not do any harm to her life and maybe the emptiness would be filled, the monotony of her life will be changed if she hangs out with Dr. Pankaj.
"Seems like a nice guy." She said to herself. She once thought of asking Rahul for her permission but later fortified the idea after realizing that he will never approve of having lunch with my co-worker. So next morning, she picked up her phone and messaged Dr. Pankaj--
"Let's go out for dinner tonight."
"Okay, how did the organ transplant go?" the message from Dr. Pankaj put a smile on her face. She knew she was doing the right thing....at least she thought so.
"It went fine, the body accepted the organ finally." she typed and sent the message

20 June 2015

Change is uncomfortable- yes, it is uncomfortable at first. the things you used to do with a certain manner suddenly changes and you have no other option except to go with the changes. You work in a place for years and suddenly next morning when you wake up, you find yourself in a whole new place full of strangers, with no one to talk to. All you can do is just sit alone and think-Was the decision of leaving Sanjeevani hospital even right? Was she afraid of confronting Rahul after the proposal? She wasn't afraid...she couldn't be. They both were supposed to be in love, they had a strong relationship, apart from the occasional drinking and once-in-a-week psychotic behavior of Rahul, he was perfect for Vaishali, then why she panicked and ran away when Rahul proposed her for the marriage?
"Is this seat taken?" A voice pulled Vaishali out from the tsunami of thoughts that were destroying her mind. She looked up and saw a young guy, probably 25, smiling at her.
"No." She replied absent-minded. She was still waiting for Rahul to call her. One phone call and it would be solved in a second. One sorry from her would definitely work for their relationship...at least she thought that.
"First day at Heritage?" The guy once again diverted her attention.
"Yes."
"Mine too. Hi I am Dr. Pankaj Rana." He said and took his hand forward.
"Dr. Vaishali Gupta." She replied with an artificial smile pasted on her face and shook hands with him. She just wanted to be left alone for sometime.
"Are you alright?" Pankaj asked her after a brief pause in their almost one-sided conversation. He wasn't genetically programmed to be quiet, he loves to talk regardless of the response from the other side but he wasn't sure that Vaishali was in a mood to talk so he asked her if she was feeling alright or not.
"Yes, I am fine." She replied to Pankaj and gave him a cold stare.
"Are you Sure?"
"Yes, and would you mind leaving me alone please?" She said in an unusually high tone. Pankaj didn't see that coming.
"Umm...of course, I will catch up with you later." as Pankaj was about to vacate his seat, his coffee cup accidentally fell upon the table, spilling the whole coffee on Vaishali's dress, making the scenario more worse than before.
"ARE YOU MAD?? Don't you have eyes? I have my surgery about 30 minutes from now and you spoiled my whole dress. My first day at this hospital and I will be operating on a patient with my body smelling like a coffee cup. Thank you Dr. Pankaj." She blurted it out, all at once. She didn't even give Pankaj a chance to apologize for the mishap that happened.
"I am so sorry Dr. Vaishali, I don't know how it..."
"Keep your apologies with you, I don't need it." Vaishali said and left, without even listening. She was not at her best of moods today and she knew it.
"Maybe I was too harsh on him, he didn't spill the coffee on purpose." She said to herself while she was trying to clean her green kurti and her white coat at the ladies washroom. She certainly overreacted, but when you just resigned from a hospital just because your boyfriend proposed you in front of the whole staff, it's natural to become unstable. She didn't have the guts to call Rahul, so she waited for him to call her but nothing like that was still happening and she started to worry now. What if he never call back? What if leaving Sanjeevani and coming to Heritage was a big mistake? What if this was an end for both of them? Was she ready for all this? Will Rahul understand what she wants from her life? And most importantly, will Rahul forgive her? Vaishali was still fighting with all these questions hitting on her mind until she got disturbed by a loud beep on her pager. It was a message directing her to the OT where she had to operate in about 10 minutes. She quickly rushed towards the OT and saw the schedule chart hanging in front of the OT four of the Heritage hospital.
"Oh God, why don't you kill me?" these were the first words that came out from her mouth when she saw the scheduling chart. She was used to do all her operations with Rahul co-operating and assisting her but now she will be assisting him. The chart said-
'OT FOUR- Dr. VAISHALI GUPTA (ORTHO) Assisting With Dr. PANKAJ RANA (ORTHO)'
Change is uncomfortable...

15 June 2015

"Rahul, what the hell are you doing here?" Vaishali asked him in a surprised tone. She didn't expected him to be at her hostel gate at 2 in the morning...hell, no one expects anyone at his or her doorstep at this point of time.
"I was just missing you, so i came by to say hello." Rahul replied, unaffected of the reaction her girlfriend just gave to him. He just lives a couple of blocks away from Vaishali's hostel so 'coming by to say hello' was not so difficult for him.
"I think you need to go home Rahul, what if anyone sees us?" Vaishali said to him, in a frightened tone. She was still looking here and there to confirm that no one was watching them.
"I think we have a strong enough clarification to give if anyone sees us."  Said Rahul, still unware of the gravity of the situation.
"And that is?"
"That I am your boyfriend and I can meet you whenever I want to." Rahul declared with pride. He always thought Vaishali more of a trophy then her girlfriend. They were in a relationship for more than 3 years now. For everyone, Rahul and Vaishali were a perfect couple- They both were smart, intelligent and doctors and love each other...what else does anyone wants? But that was what everyone thinks about them...in reality,  the things were not so good between these two lovebirds.
"I am not having this discussion with you now, we will discuss it when you are sober." Vaishali said in an irritating tone.  She was trying hard not to get angry at him but Rahul sensed it, this is a disadvantage of a long relationship-you almost read your partner's mind by just listening to their voice.
"DO YOU THINK I AM DRUNK??" Rahul shouted angrily and marched towards Vaishali with his wobbly steps. He grabbed Vaishali's both arms and squeezed them till he heard her painful groan. He kinda enjoyed it whenever she cries in pain.
"Don't ever dare to call me a drunk, do you understand?" He shouted once again, enough to be heard by some people, the lights were turned on at the hostel rooms now.
"I am sorry...please leave me Rahul, please." She begged to him while she was still crying in pain. Rahul's grip was way too masculine for her to get rid off. Rahul was not a bad guy, in fact he loved Vaishali more than anything in the world, the problem was, that he was madly in love with her, he was like a psychopath now. Vaishali was frightened to see this side of Rahul, she could easily dump him-she was pretty enough to move on quickly but there was a problem...the problem was that she too loved him like hell and she just couldn't leave Rahul.
"I am sorry Vaishali, I promise I will...I will never hurt you, please don't leave me." Rahul released her from his tight grip and started to beg for forgiveness now. He was turning into a freak now, specially after her mother's death. He was breaking from inside, slowly but continuously. Tears were starting to roll down from his eyes. He was a genuine artist in this stuff, could convince any person in the world, let alone convincing a girl blindly in love with her.
"I am not leaving you Rahul, just calm down OK?" She replied, her voice becoming soft.
"I love you Vaishali, I love you so much...You love me too, right?" Rahul asked her. Before she could say anything there was a screeching sound which drew their attention towards the hostel door which was about to be opened.
"Who is he?" Niharika asked Vaishali. She was the first to arrive after hearing the shouting form her hostel gate. She immediately rushed downstairs to see what was happening though she already knew that she would definitely find Vaishali there.
"Someone I don't love anymore." She said and walked back towards her room...

Book Review- World's Best Boyfriend by Durjoy Dutta

Title: World's Best Boyfriend
Author: Durjoy Dutta
Genere: Fiction; Romance
Published by: Penguin metro reads
Rating: ***/***** (3 out of 5)
So, I bought this book a couple of days ago but as soon as I started reading it, i knew that the story was somewhat similar from Durjoy Dutta's TV show 'Sadda Haq'. A boy and a girl studying in the same engineering college, trying to destroy their lives and in the process of doing that, they fell in love with each other.
Aranya and Dhruv were in love when they were 12, but a single lie changed their lives forever. At DTU they try to demolish each other by various acts but eventually Dhruv, with the help of his senior cum best friend Sanchit fell for Aranya and at the end rescue her from her professor Raghvendra. During this journey they fight, they laugh, they cry and finally they make out.
Frankly the book didn't rose upto my expectations, because there was a certain monotony after a while. Also there is too much overdoing of the swearing thing to make the book look cooler which only make it worse. The characters are limited and hence not confusing but at the end the story becomes too predictable for the readers. Durjoy could have done much better than this.
I would give this book 3 out of 5 stars because at last a positive things about the book is that it is about women empowerment and about a girl to stand on her own no  matter what. overall this book is a one time read only if you are a Durjoy Dutta fan

Let's become Poetic

A poem written by a beautiful friend of mine who wants to know if she is good enough to write or not. So I thought what a better platform then this to know the reviews and comments
P.S- she is a newbie so go easy on her

   #The tunnel
A knee length blue dyed dress,
Looked back as I looked into the debris
The mind begin imploring the abandoned section
Inside the dimly lit tunnel of memories.
A wooden scented weary desk stared
Holding hands with an ink stained notebook.
A gallery of patterns, smoothly fabricated,
Inversely, robust and faded.
An endless ocean of half used pens,
The mad laughter, the chiming bells.
I met people too down a shaded turn.
The ones I spent an everlasting eternity with.
The ones I bargained happiness with.
And just as i wondered if I'm missing a thing,
A piece probably, something.
Not crucial, but almost.
I find it at the very end, secured in a dusted shelf,
A guy I loved more than life itself.
And thus the tunnel came to rest,
With all the elements knitted so smooth together,
Into the most beautiful wreckage ever,
I take out the blue fabric from the closet, with eyes heavier,
And stare at it for what seems like forever.

6th June 2015

"I can't Siddarth, I just can't." Naina said to me with her teary eyes. I kept silent for a moment.
"Why?" I asked her. I knew that this wasn't just friendship, i knew this was more than that. She was just afraid to admit it...at least that's what I thought.
"I don't have a reason for this." She said. Tears were still in her eyes. I wonder if the tear glands of females have a stopping mechanism or not?
"There is a reason for everything Naina." I said to her. Maybe i was too much adamant to know the reason behind the rejection to my proposal which was not exactly a proposal...I just told her that i liked her, I didn't asked her to be the mother of my hypothetical children.
"See, that is the reason Siddarth that we can't be together." She turned towards me and told me in an irritated voice. I couldn't figure out what she meant by that so i asked her to be more clear.
"You are too logical Siddarth, you want a reason behind everything. But you know what? there are some things which don't have any reasons. Like me-I am not programmed to like or love someone at this age. I will just finish my studies, look out for a job and eventually get married to a guy which my parents will select for me. We don't have anything ahead of us." She said with her crying becoming more intense. I was confused about what was hurting me more? Her words, her tears or the silly sand that was becoming hot like a lava now. The breeze was over. Varanasi had once again restored its reputation of a burning city.
"Does being logical bothers you? Don't you think opposites attract? Even magnets of opposite polarity attract Naina, We are people." I said to her and immediately cursed myself for this logic. Damn me- I put too much logic in life.
"Exactly Siddarth, we are people, not magnets." She said and started to walk away. It was becoming unbearable now for two reasons- one for the reason that Naina gave to me for not liking me, and other for the burning hell it was becoming under my feet. I quickly ran towards the boat and sat down with my feet immersed in water for some moments.
"We should probably go." Naina said to me after coming on the boat. I said nothing and sat besides her. Strange that i didn't felt that much bad as I was supposed to feel, Probably my past with Shreya has to do a lot with it. I just wanted to go to my room now, drink a glass of chilled water and sleep.
"You know, I had always dreamed of a partner which will be like me- Crazy, emotional, talkative and someone who know what I am. You are just opposite of that Siddarth, You are a great guy but you must know that you are not a dreamer. You think from your Brain, Sometime you have to think from your heart." Naina said to me. I lost her after 'You are a great guy...' I knew she would try to consolidate me with some nice words which I will find nice at that time but later on I will feel crappy about it so I didn't listened. I simply took out my phone and opened Facebook.
"Damn these mobile signals." I said to myself and sat on the edge of the boat where i could find some signals. It was my old phone which constantly got broken but i never gave up on it...I repaired it every time it gets a fault.
"You should let go of this phone." Most of my friends including Naina had asked me to replace this phone with a new one but there was something about it which didn't let me buy a new phone. As I was engaged in my phone, I felt a sudden jerk on the boat and the phone slipped out of my hands and SPLASH!! it was floating on river Ganga the very next second.
"MY PHONE!!!" I screamed and quickly tried to reach out to my phone by stretching my hand to its maximum, leaning to the walls of the boat. I could have jumped into the water but I didn't because-
1. I can't swim
2. I really can't swim
"Let it go Siddarth, you will get a new phone." Naina quickly grabbed me and pulled me into the perimeters of the boat. I leaned so much in a side of boat that the boat itself started to get dis balanced. I was seeing my phone, it started to sink in the water now. I looked at it and that's when i realized that it is good to let go of the things sometimes...You will certainly feel better in your life.
"I think we still can become friends." Naina said to me. This was the girl version of 'You are officially out from my life'. I looked at her and smiled. The 'dreamy vs logical' thing she was explaining me on the other side of river was starting to make sense now. She indeed was a dreamer and I was someone that could not work out for her in the long run.
"I think we should let this go Naina, goodbye and all the best for your Dreamy prince." I said and walked away from her...I didn't looked back, neither did she said anything, maybe she knew that it was coming to her. As I was going away from her, i felt a lump in my throat which i couldn't clear and I felt something on my cheeks- those were teardrops...And she said i was emotionless. Strange was the fact that for the first time in my life I had cried for a girl, and It can't be due to my brain...I was thinking from my heart. Nevertheless, I didn't looked back and walked away from her.
In our life we meet two kinds of people- dreamers and realists. The dreamers always want to be with dreamers and realists always wants another realist in their lives, it goes with the law of nature. Maybe there is no such thing as 'Opposites attract' or 'Similar won't get along'. Maybe it's just the opposite...maybe similar people know each other very well and are perfect for each other. It is up to us who we decide to get together with, the dreamer or the realists. But maybe the realist needs a dreamer to show him or her that how magnificent the dreams are and what they are missing...and maybe a dreamer needs a realist to show that all dreams are not meant to be chased.
BUT NOT IN MY CASE, MAYBE THESE TWO WILL CROSS THEIR PATH IN SOME OTHER STORY...

Book Review- Someone Like You by Durjoy Dutta and Nikita Singh

Book Review- Someone like you by Durjoy Dutta and Nikita Singh

Title: Someone like you
Author: Durjoy Dutta and Nikita Singh
Genere: Fiction; Romance
Published by: Penguin metro reads
Rating: ***/***** (3 out of 5)
First of all, hello all of you. It's being a long time since i have read a Durjoy Dutta's. Though it was published in 2013, i read it a bit late. I bought it while i was going to my hometown from Varanasi from a bookstore. I had to choose between a Chetan Bhagat and this. I felt a little bit regret after reading it.
Someone like you is a story which starts with the same place every 3rd book of every Indian authors start with- DU campus. Niharika gets a make over by her sister and by the virtue of it, attracts a handsome, rich guy- Akshat but both parted away. She goes into ICE Nagpur and meets another bunch of Characters. Tanmay- Sweet and Shy type of guy who never was interested in Niharika; Pia- her room mate cum best friend and Karthik- the 'guy' which she hates at first but starts to love afterwards. Pretty typical story, right?
Everything goes on smoothly until Tanmay met with a fatal accident and left all of them, that point of story is, well, sad. And return of Akshat makes the story more interesting. But the End of the book is too dramatic and predictable- i mean, proposing a girl during a football match?? Sure Bollywood affects even the most creative minds of the country.
Speaking of the writing- story is Good but it fails to hold you till the end. It generally happens when you try to write in collaboration. Niharika's portraiture is not as good as it should be, but i liked Karthik- Ultimately he becomes the one who gets the girl by his wild look and rebellious attitude.
Language is simple and it is good, i am not in favor of complex English which makes readers go through oxford's every time they read a line.
In short, It's not as much good as Durjoy Dutta's other books. I would reserve my comments on writing on Nikita Singh because she is just two books old and she is also pretty!!
I give it 3 out of 5, Initially i was going for 2 and a half but half is for cover which is simple and not too content-revealing. If you are interested in Bollywood love stories and want to imagine life like a pink little world- then buy it, otherwise if you are looking for something more than that...please don't

3rd June 2015

There was something special about the morning. You don't often feel a cool breeze at 10:30 AM in the month of June at Varanasi. The water in Ganga was restless, and Naina was Unusually quiet today. At this time, the ghaats usually gets occupied by the priests and vendors selling useless things to foreign tourists but all of this was missing today. Me and Naina were at the other side of the river, dipping our feet in the water, Naina likes this a lot- spending time sitting on the other side of the river, feeding the ducks and birds which always used to gather around her and feeling the silence. She once asked me to try this with her and today I was doing this and it felt great.
"Are you alright? You haven't spoke anything since we came here." I finally asked her. There was something going on her mind for sure because she speaks, a lot. She looked at me but still didn't said anything.
"What's going on between us?" Naina suddenly asked me.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean us. Us sitting together, going out for lunch, texting each other the whole day...Does it mean anything?" She asked me in a serious tone.
"It certainly means something." I replied, not too sure about how she will react after hearing this. Our meetings were increasing day by day exponentially. We were hanging out together, eating together whenever we were in college, and texting and chatting all day long. The only times we don't talk to each other were when we were sleeping or when we had gone to drop a deuce or freshen up. So it certainly have to mean something.
"What does it mean then?" She asked
"I don't know, what do you want it to mean?" I replied.
"Nothing" She said and looked away. After some moments she got up and walked towards the sand, Leaving me on the boat with my feet still dipped in the algae rich water of Ganga. I looked at the water which was still turbulent. My friends were constantly advising me to ask Naina about how she felt about us but i never got the chance...or may be I never took the chance to ask her, but today she talked about this herself. I had to make things clear between us, we couldn't continue like this anymore and we both knew it very well.
"What do you want me to say Naina?" I shouted from behind, she was still way ahead of me, I think girls walk very fast when they are upset. She didn't stopped.
"I LIKE YOU A LOT NAINA" I shouted with all my voice. I wanted some time before I could say this to her because of my past experiences with Shreya wasn't too good. She stopped for a moment which was enough for me to catch up with her pace. I looked at her to see any signs of happiness or excitement after hearing this but i realized my mistake after seeing her face. She was crying.
